Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
DrawWire is made by LastLap Lab LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the DrawWire app and website collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: your drawings are yours. We don't sell data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
What stays on your device
Drawings, symbols and settings are saved on your device. You can use DrawWire without an account, and in that case nothing about your drawings leaves your device unless you share or export it yourself. Photos you pick to use as symbols are read only when you pick them.
Your account and backup
If you sign in (with Apple, Google, GitHub or email), we keep your email address, your name if the sign-in service provides one, and an account identifier. Your drawings, symbols and settings are backed up to your account so they appear on your other devices and survive a new device. They are stored with our servers, which use Supabase (database) and Cloudflare (storage and delivery). Only you, and members of a team you choose to share with, can see them.
AI features
When you use an AI feature ("Describe it" or having a sketch read), the description or sketch you send and the names of your symbols go through our servers to Anthropic, which provides the AI model, to produce the diagram. DrawWire asks your permission before the first AI request, and you can withdraw it at any time in the app. Anthropic doesn't use this data to train its models. We don't use it to train models either, unless you opt in below.
Helping improve the sketch tool (optional)
The sketch tool is in beta. If you choose "Help improve the sketch tool", the strokes of your sketches, how the app read them, and the corrections you made are sent to us to train and test the sketch tool. These samples aren't linked to your name or email; each one carries a random identifier for the install and the app version. It's off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time in the app.
Voice
If you speak a description, Apple's speech recognition turns it into text on your device or on Apple's servers, under Apple's privacy policy. We receive only the resulting text, and only if you send it to an AI feature.
Payments
DrawWire Pro bought in the app is handled by Apple; bought on the web, it's handled by Stripe. We never see your card details. We receive a record of the subscription (plan, status, renewal date) so the app knows Pro is active.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad identifiers, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- No selling or renting of personal data.
- No access to your contacts, location or camera.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your account data while your account exists. You can delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account). This removes your account and the drawings, symbols and settings backed up with it; drawings stay on your device until you delete the app. Payment records that the law requires us to keep are retained as required. Anonymous sketch samples can't be traced back to you, so they can't be picked out for deletion.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 or California law), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to its use. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
DrawWire is a professional tool and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect.
